It feels good to work!

This week I had the opportunity to join Paddy of Light Bringer at James Foshay middle Shool in south central L.A. I had a great time showing my work to the students of Room 13. The main focus was Papel Picado. I was able to share the cuurant work that I am preparing for The Latin Heritage Foundation for an event taking place at the Pasadena Playhouse on May 12th.
These middle school kids were great! They were eager to learn, they were insightful, and asked thoughtful questions. I felt very full when I left them. They were very appreciative and interested in everthing that Paddy and I presented. I so miss that kind of interaction and open discussion about ideas and creativity. So, as soon as I left I got started on this project for the Pasadena Playhouse. I am working away on Papel PIcado. So far I have finished the Logo for Quetzal who will be playing that evening as well as a Piece on Cachao ( World renown Cuban Bass Player). This will go to Andy Garcia who is hosting this event. I am just taking a break here as it is 11:00 p.m. on the 11th and I still have a great deal of work to do! If Ifinish Iwill post the work a.s.a.p. until then........................................................................;)
