On a roll

More good things. Gifts are everywhere...................Today I spent the day with two terrific people. Both Artists. We decided that we would get together on Tuesdays to work on projects that we are interested in such as Illustration, screen printing , lino cuts, drawing, painting, whatever. We just want to make time to do this work. The goal is to encourage eachother, and support one another without having to pay huge prices to go to classes. I think we have enough experience and information to learn from eachother. I came away with great ideas today. I went to boarders and used my gift card that my sister gave me to get a couple of books that will also help me on this journey. The first step is listening and looking for the gifts and being open to them as they come..........................................................These are the paper cuts I talked about in the previous post........the work continues :)

Sounds like a lot of fun! It's your time to have fun again.

Now, what are the books you got?

Lately, I've been purchasing my books online on Amazon because it's cheaper than Borders and I also get exactly what I want. It's also difficult to browse in a bookstore with a 2 year old who has her own agenda. I'm so happy with Amazon. Before I discovered Amazon I used to go to Borders with a list of books I wanted and hand it to a clerk and have them find the books for me (carrying baby). Most of the time they only had two of the five books I had listed. Then I'd look at the price and decide if it was worth 15$ for a book that I could get for half the price "used" in Amazon. I learned quickly.
