Finally a moment
to add some stuff. Matt and Maritza are back at school and though life is supposed to settle down we're busier than ever. We are in full swing mode with the behaviorist trying to come up with motivators to get Matt up and awake by 5:30 and on the bus by 6:40. It takes everything we've got to make this happen. So far we have been successful 4 out of five days but we are doing some huge back flips to get it done. Last week it was daily rewards. I got him a Clone Wars book, Rocky brought home pumpkin pie, Maritza's friend Daniel sent me the star wars them so he could wake up to it every morning via the computer. Last week the promise of going to see the Clone Wars Movie was the major reward if he got on the bus daily. In between there were constant reminders. So we saw the movie Saturday and started again on Monday but failed. So Monday eve. Rocky took him to get Chow Mein so that he could get up and eat it in the morning. It worked! So last night I promised Spaghetti, and this morning I was up cooking! I woke him with the singing songs about noodles that went like this "Cock a doodle doodle you need to get up noodle" and the old favorite on top of spaghetti. I'm great at 5;30 in the morning with a guitar that only has three strings and is out of tune, no one to impress except Matthew and I can sing my heart out. Maritza thinks I'm insane and just laughs. It's amazing what comes out sometimes I wish I had kept a written record because the things that come out are so random and they are really funny. We are getting close to Maritza's D.C trip next week, her school is loading them down with homework, I'm trying to coordinate a workshop on the 27th and we have to gut the garage by Thursday because we are going to convert it to a room. Then there have been drum lessons for M. and music appreciation for Matt, and Samoan fire knife class in Whittier with Quincy Leatoa. We cut out the hula this week and horse back ridding is out till D.C. is over. Whew, I'm tired just thinking about it. So In the mean time I'm supposed to be busy creating some Papel Picado for the Palm Springs Museum of art. and gathering tools and all that. That's the one I'm supposed to be doing for myself. We'll see... I got to get on the ball.... I'm just not doing enough this month. HaHaHa. That's September. October will be two hula shows and the Palm Springs gig. And, the kids regular stuff. So things should calm down as we establish a basic routine. November is looking nice and calm.................

I'm a little late in posting here, but maybe you've finished your papel picado by now. What's on the drawing/cutting board?
